Economics

Economics is the social science that studies the production, distribution, and consumption of goods and services. It examines how individuals, businesses, governments, and societies make choices about allocating scarce resources to satisfy their needs and wants. Economics is broadly divided into two main branches: microeconomics, which focuses on the behaviors of individuals and firms in making decisions regarding the allocation of resources; and macroeconomics, which looks at the economy as a whole, analyzing aggregate indicators such as GDP, unemployment rates, and inflation. The field also involves analyzing market behavior, the role of government in economic performance, and the impact of policies on economic welfare.
