Football

Football, often referred to as soccer in some countries, is a team sport played between two teams of eleven players each. The objective of the game is to score goals by getting a spherical ball into the opposing team’s net, which is guarded by a goalkeeper. Players mainly use their feet to maneuver the ball, but they may also use any other part of their body except their arms and hands, with the exception of the goalkeeper. The game is played on a rectangular field, known as a pitch, and is governed by a set of rules known as the Laws of the Game, established by the International Football Association Board (IFAB). Football is one of the world’s most popular sports, enjoyed by millions of players and fans globally, and is featured prominently in international competitions, such as the FIFA World Cup, which showcases national teams from various countries.
