NBA

The NBA, or National Basketball Association, is a professional basketball league in North America, composed of 30 teams. It is widely regarded as one of the premier men’s professional basketball leagues in the world. The league was founded on June 6, 1946, originally as the Basketball Association of America (BAA) before merging with the National Basketball League (NBL) in 1949 to become the NBA.

The NBA features a regular season from October to April, followed by a playoff tournament that culminates in the NBA Finals in June. Teams compete for the championship title, and the league is known for its high level of athleticism and skill, showcasing some of the best basketball talents globally. The NBA also emphasizes entertainment, including halftime shows, fan engagement, and international outreach, contributing to its widespread popularity. The league’s governing body is the NBA Board of Governors, which consists of the owners of the teams.
